Through an era of hardship, toil and a daily grind. The shining light of all that it is good laboured through a darkness of suppression and control. And lo, those men that wandered aimlessly without a home, cried in their sleep over another awakening that brought evil into their hearts.

Because they knew not another way…..

And their leaders fought on their behalf; yearning for greater times when the majesty of their creation would grow wings and fly to horizons new. A paradise that would bring them together in a place of unrestricted conversation and good times galore.

But the day would not come; even when the fire in their bellies willed them to take a stand against those that defeated their minds and trod on their souls. And nay, it came to pass that a good many men lost the will to fight and were strewn across the wayside. Joining other like minded men in futile attempts to become something new. Something bold. Something to cling on to.

But these creations failed as well…..

And it came to pass. The good men of the original epoch. Came together in unity. And shouted to the hills that enough was enough! They would find a new home. A clean home. A respected home. One where they could play their games without chains and those that cheated and deceived through the competition and life itself!

And so they rose…..with pitchforks and hymn sheets! Calling out to their band of faithful warriors. Rejoice in a new day my brothers. Cast off your shackles. Sing to the heavens! The fateful day has come at last.

And so…..we stand…..as one. The period filled with passion. These lucky few. This dying breed. The men, nay, the heroes, that fill this meeting place with speech from the angels and genius of the wise old men of lore.

And we breathe new life in this genre! We breathe new life in our accomplishments. And we say, with that song in our hearts and the twinkle of knowledge in our eyes. That we were moved to move. And here we stand! Bruised and beaten but still alive. Alive…..and alert!

So my brothers, my dear dear brothers. Think on what we have done. Think on what is still to be done. Join arms. Hold hands. And forever remember who we were, where we come from and what we will be!
