I do think we've missed a trick in not trying to advertise this place.

In what sense Rich? - You have the Twitter feed and One Ring Circus, your coverage is quite wide in what is a niche market

One thing that we get from v2 is greater volume of traffic due to all the other sections of chat but it hasn't resulted in that huge an increase in uptake

OOC chat aside as long as people are coming on here and promoing then that is all you need right? - As people have said, i'm sure the last few weeks have been a blip

Overreaction, I'm sure others who have been for as long as me can tell you that it's been just as quiet, if not quieter than this in the past and it's been fine.

I do agree though that perhaps some new faces are needed, at the moment I worry if a couple of people leave, who comes in to replace them. It's the only time in 6WF history that I think there haven't been a couple of new people every few months.

Twitter doesn't tend to generate any additional interest, just followers, and how much attention they pay is anyones guess.

ORC never really worked. It's a great idea on paper, but actually getting it off the ground without any dedication is the problem and it was the same with ATW, i just don't have the time to promote it.

Facebook is a good tool, plenty of fantasy wrestling and e-fed pages, but i don't blame Steel for not wanting to advertise this on there.

We do miss the odd new member, even if they only stayed for a few weeks, but then at 6CW you have 4-5 new names? The rest are people from here and ex 6WF/6CW guys?

That's my concern, Crimey. People will leave and we have nothing lined up to get replacements in.

I agree there Rich -  I would love to use facebook but then it becomes public, do the benefits outweigh the ridicule

It has been quite a period of change over the last year if you think about it. There have been a few fairly big characters leave - ED aside the loss of JJ, Saint and Hero will have a ripple effect and I agree you haven't had the influx of new guys to carry that, as you say we have a few peopel who are solely with 6CW but they are all advocates of v2 and that might explain why they haven't floated across. The roster is still very deep in talent but I agree if you were to lose another 3 or 4 then it would be worrying but as always 6WF will survive and grow

Hero wasn't exactly a loss. He hadn't been 'active' in the fed for 2 years.

Saint and JJ were losses, but it's more about the peripheral characters than the main eventers. It broke things up having random guys join up for a couple of weeks and then leaving.

They were all just JJ characters anyway

Still all quiet on the western front,I see. I'm sure everyone is just busy with school/work etc.

A question for you all to ponder,though, seeing as though we are drawing ever closer to the big one. What match will main event Born in Fire this year?

Obviously we don't know what is going on with Demon right now but my prediction has been Cassius Zhi vs Logan Kincade for some time now. If Demon doesn't return then I think we will see Kincade and Crime Lord one last time for an epic show down.

I think it's hard to predict until Destiny, which usually changes everything, as we have the Gold Rush winner which over the last couple of years tends to be very hard to predict with five or six guys a possibility, then you have the Fight for the Right winner possibly cashing in, any number of new champions, perhaps returning faces. 

Born in Fire for me will become so much clearer after Destiny as the big matches start forming.

Who do you guys think are the likely candidates to win the Gold Rush?

I think there are four for the Gold Rush, who I would consider:

Keith Leone- Can't get a title shot after losing to Cassius but this surely would be a way of getting around that.

Crime Lord: Would be a way of setting up one more epic match with Kincade if Logan were to cash in his contract before BIF.

Lex Hart: Currently on the edge of the main event and with his history of being involved with Genesis I could see him either taking on a Re-Genesis world champion or siding with Walker at BIF to win another title.

Max Adamson: Surely with the current storyline that is going on and Max never having won the world title, I could see this reaching its culmination at BIF. Marky has been on the money with promos recently as well.

If I had to pick one I would say Adamson but wouldn't be surprised by any of the others

I'm not very good at this guessing game but apart from the list above here goes.

Geoff Steel - Either as part of walkers master plan to keep the titles safe, or he just sees his opportunity to not play second fiddle to Cassius and Mike Hill, thus  causing the first ripples of discontent in Re- Genesis.
