Well, Lyon are trying to scam as much money as possible out of us for Gomis, and we're still talking to QPR about Remy. We can get those 2 for £15m and another defender we'll be fine.

People talking about Sunderland and what they've signed, but no real proven class, and PDC following the trait of alot of foreign managers and signing his fellow countrymen. Italian players rarely adapt to the Prem as it's a completely different pace. I personally think they will struggle.

I'm not a fan of Remy, although I seem to be the only one! Never seen Gomis play tbh. Always thought you just need some depth, as a few injuries ala last year, and you're into some fairly average players.

I still don't think Di Canio will last past Christmas personally. If I was old enough to bet, I'd have a few bob on him going first

Remy is a classy player mate. Gomis was highly rated when he came through the ranks. He was linked with us about 6 years ago but he went off the boil, but double figures last 3 seasons.

We've reportedly got a bid on the table for Gignac from Marseille.

I think Remy is a good player (bit too inconsistent for me), but I question his character. I mean by all accounts didn't he reject you for the money at QPR?! And then there's the alleged rape case...

To be fair, QPR were tossing money around. Look at Samba, 6 months and gone back to his old club for the same fee. I respect our board for not prostituting themselves to get a player in and they were clever. They knew QPR would have a relegation clause and they knew if they went down they would have another chance to get Remy.
